A fantastic opportunity for AWS Community members to get hands-on practical lab exposure with Amazon DynamoDB brought to you by the team that actually builds DynamoDB at AWS and Alex who authored “The DynamoDB Book”!
By attending this session, you will get real-time guided practical lab experience on serverless architectures working with DynamoDB and Lambda at a beginner to intermediate level. If you are someone that works with databases or considering DynamoDB for implementing in your projects, then this session would help you achieve those objectives faster. About the Speakers
Pete Naylor, Senior Technical Product Manager for Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Web Services
Peter has more than 5 years of experience at Amazon Web Services working with Serverless and Amazon DynamoDB.
Alex DeBrie, Principal & Founder at DeBrie Advisory
Alex is the author of The DynamoDB Book, the comprehensive guide to data modeling with DynamoDB, as well as The DynamoDB Guide, a free guided introduction to DynamoDB. He runs a consulting company where he assists clients with DynamoDB data modeling, serverless architectures, and general AWS usage. He has worked with all kinds of clients, from product companies to consultancies; from government agencies to publicly-traded enterprises. He has spoken about data design with DynamoDB at many conferences, including AWS re:Invent and AWS Summits, and he has assisted AWS in writing official tutorials for using DynamoDB. Previously, Alex worked as an engineer at Stedi, Serverless, Inc., and Hudl. If you go even further back, Alex was briefly a corporate lawyer. He lives in Omaha, NE with his wife and four kids.
